A Guide To Your Own Aquarium

By Stan Morse

Tank

When choosing the tank, you will need to consider two things in particular. A small quarantine tank (30x20x25cm) is advisable for any serious aquarist. When you just introduce a new fish to aquarium tank its necessary to feed the fish.

Aquarium tank fish death is one of the common challenges faced by aquarists. - Is your fish tank at the right temperature. To perform this remedy the sick fish should be placed in a jar, bucket or a treatment tank into which has been added a methylene per blue to colour the water deep blue.

Before anything else, you should know how to keep the tank in good condition. To get started, you should choose what size of tank will fit your style. While most of the fish growers enthusiasm starts at a young age, and in fact most of the lovers of fish start as young boys and girls staring at the pet shop window wishing to get some fish, once you have a couple of fish you start realizing that you will have to do much more than just fill a tank of water and feed the fish every couple of days.

Tropical

Because fresh water aquariums are much easier to maintain than salt water tanks, creating a tropical fresh water fish community is the best place to start. In many cases, the vitamin content will gradually decline at room temperature and since majority of the dry food for tropical fish commonly used will only keep for about three months, it is always advisable to buy fish-feeds in many small packs rather than in one large pack. Some of tropical fish hobbyists dream that keeping gorgeous tropical fish in stylist aquariums in their living rooms will create a soothing environment for family happy hours.

The key factor is on the type of tropical fish as they have different shapes, sizes, colors and characters. Tropical also refers to tropical climate wherein the climate is warm or moist all throughout the year integrated by abundant vegetation.

Buying

When buying fish from the pet shop always spend some time at the place to inquire about the life history and habits of the new purchase. Below are some basic guidelines to consider when buying new fish. Beware from buying aggressive species.

Maintaining an aquarium can be an ongoing task but you can lighten the load of little bit by buying fish and other creatures that you part of the work for you.

Foods

White worms (enchytraeus Albidus) are one of life foods that can be cultivated by the aquarist. An inverted plastic 2-liter pop bottle with the bottom cut off works well (from article titled Fish foods for dummy by Grant Gussie). And they are flake foods and freeze-dried foods.

If you have this knowledge you will be able to provide foods that are rich in nutritional ingredients that your fish require.

Freshwater

Its up to you whether you want to keep saltwater or freshwater, but if this is your first aquarium, then I suggest you start with a freshwater aquarium. The first decision you must make when you buy an aquarium is whether you plan to keep freshwater fish or saltwater fish. Why try freshwater aquarium fishes.
