Reef aquariums, which are sometimes sold as or referred as mini-reef aquariums, are aquariums that appear as if their contents where plucked right out of tropical waters. This is because many reef aquariums house tropical reefs, such as coral reefs. These reefs are most commonly found in warm, tropical waters. Although there are some individuals who are only after a reef aquarium because of the reef, there are others who purchase one because of the additional marine animals that can be displayed. In most cases, you will find that many of the underwater animals found in the tropics, along coral reefs, can be displayed in a reef aquarium.

When it comes to purchasing a reef aquarium, you will find that you have a number of different options.
