Why are the fish in my aquarium swimming sideways?
Answered By Addison Asay
There are many reasons why your fish may be swimming sideways. One is that, maybe your pet is near an air pump pushing it to one side while it fight the current made by the pump by means of flapping its fins on the other side. This may cause your fish to swim sideways. Secondly, it may be because one of your fish's fins is hurt or not in good condition. If that is so, your fish may have difficulty flapping the damaged fin and when he flaps the other fin the fish will move in one direction.
