Angelfish, again because of their natural habitat in forested river areas, will survive best if kept in a slightly acidic environment, with a pH below 7.0.

Although angelfish are generally more peaceful than their aggressive cousins, they are still members of the cichlid family, and they will eat smaller fish if given the opportunity.
